Mary Wheeler murdered Phoebe Hogg and her child.

Mary Wheeler was having an affair with Phoebe Hogg's husband and she became jealous and so she invited Phoebe Hogg to her house in Kentish Town, North London where she killed her and her baby.

Phoebe Hogg was found in Crossfield Road, Hampstead with her skull broken in and her head almost decapitated.

The child was later found in Finchley having been smothered.

A perambulator had been found about a mile away with blood soaked cushions.

Mary Wheeler had been see pushing a perambulator around London and when they searched her house they found blood spatters on the walls, ceiling, a skirt, an apron, and on a poker. When asked about the blood she said that she 'had a problem with mice and was trying to kill them'.
